HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Este año hemos vuelto a celebrar la gran festividad de Halloween, una celebración de origen celta que trabajamos como contenido cultural dentro del área de inglés. Debido a la situación que estamos viviendo, no hemos podido celebrarlo de forma conjunta como el año pasado pero lo hemos hecho a nivel de clase. Hemos realizado juegos de vocabulario, hemos cantado y bailado canciones, decorado mascarillas, visto vídeos sobre el origen de esta celebración y algunas historias cortas sobre los personajes más característicos de ella.

Además, queremos mostraros algunas fotografías del concurso de escobas con el que tan impresionad@s nos quedamos tod@s l@s profes. Tod@s l@s alumn@s recibieron un diploma por participar y un obsequio. Los ganadores además recibieron unas alfombrillas de Halloween en Educación Primaria y los ganadores de Educación Infantil recibieron un saquito con unos globos de Halloween.

This year we have celebrated Halloween again, a tradition with a celtic origin that is included as a sociocultural content within our English lessons. Due to the situation we are living currently, we haven´t been able to celebrate it all together as we did last year but instead we have worked it within each class group by playing vocabulary games, singing and dancing songs, decorating terrorific masks, watching videos about its origin and short stories about its most famous characters.

Besides, we would like to show you some pictures from the spooky broom contest that left all teachers veeeeery impressed. All the pupils receivped a certificate and a little prize for participating. The winners from Primary Education received a Halloween mouse mat and the winners from Infant Education received a little sack with Halloween balloons.

"PICASSO SEEN BY US"

Este tercer trimestre los alumnos de 5º de Educación Primaria han estado trabajando distintos estilos pictóricos como son el Barroco, el Cubismo y el estilo Abstracto; analizando sus principales características y conociendo a los representantes más significativos de cada uno de ellos. Se han recreado o versionado obras de Murillo, Juan Gris, Picasso y Kandinsky. 

También se ha trabajado la arquitectura a través de la construcción de un puzzle de uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de España catalogado dentro de la arquitectura modernista aunque incorpora características típicas de otros estilos como es la Sagrada Familia y la escultura a través de uno de artistas más personales que es mundialmente conocido por la forma en que exagera la figura humana; estamos hablando de Fernando Botero. 

Para finalizar el trimestre hemos elegido de entre los artistas trabajados el artista español más conocido a nivel mundial Pablo Picasso y hemos preparado un proyecto sobre él.

Cada alumno ha elegido una obra de este autor y la ha pintado con temperas o acuarelas. Nos hubiera gustado montar esta exposición físicamente pero la situación que estamos viviendo nos lo ha impedido. No obstante, vamos a hacerla de manera virtual. Estáis todos invitados a visitarla. Esperamos que os guste.

This third term the students of 5th Primary Grade have been working different pictorial styles such as Baroque, Cubism and Abstract style; analyzing their main characteristics and finding out the most famous painters of each of them. Works by Murillo, Juan Gris, Picasso and Kandinsky have been reproduced or versioned. 
Architecture has also been worked through the construction of a puzzle of one of the most symbolic buildings in Spain " Sagrada Familia" classified in the modernist architecture although it incorporates typical characteristics of other styles and the sculpture  through one of the most personal artists who is known worldwide for the way he exaggerates the human figure; We’re talking about Fernando Botero. 

To end the term we have chosen from among the artists worked the most famous Spanish artist in the world Pablo Picasso and Students have prepared a project about him. Each student has chosen a picture of this author and has painted it with temperas or watercolors. We would have liked to present this exhibition physically but the situation we are living has prevented us. However, we will do it in a virtual way. You are all invited to visit it. We hope you like it.

IINTERNATIONAL BOOK DAY

DIA DEL LIBRO      23 de Abril

Este año para celebrar el día  del libro en el área de inglés los alumnos de 5º y 6º de Educación Primaria han trabajado uno de los personajes más famosos de la literatura inglesa, Harry Potter. Hemos conocido la saga de las novelas fantásticas escritas por J.K.Rowling y los personajes que acompañan a Harry durante los años que pasa este aprendiz de mago en el Colegio de Hogwarts.

Los alumnos han visualizado presentaciones sobre ello y completado ejercicios de vocabulario. Por último, han realizado marcapáginas  o cualquier otra manualidad relacionada con este personaje y sus aventuras.
En el área de Plástica en 5º, dentro de este mismo eje temático  Harry Potter, los alumnos han realizado posters de otras posibles películas de la saga.

INTERNATIONAL BOOK DAY    23rd April

The 5th and 6th grade pupils have been working around Harry Potter, one of the most famous characters of English Literature to celebrate the International Book Day this year. Students have known the saga of fantastic novels written by J.K.Rowling and the characters that go with Harry during the years that Harry is at Hogwarts school.

Pupils have watched videos about it and completed vocabulary exercises. Finally, they have made bookmarks and other crafts related to this character and his adventures.
5th grade pupils have also designed posters creating titles for different films of the saga.

FISHES WITH SCALES

¡¡Hola a todos!!

Espero que estéis bien. Desde casa, los alumnos y alumnas de Natural Science de 1º de E. Primaria están trabajando los animales y sus características.
Estamos aprendiendo que algunos animales tienen pelo, otros tienen plumas, otros tienen piel y otros, escamas. Algunos de ellos han querido crear un pez con escamas especiales. ¿Queréis verlas?
¡Son todas espectaculares y muy originales!

I hope you all are safe. From home, children from Natural Science (1º E. Primaria) are learning about animals and their features.
We are learning that some animals have fur, others have feathers, other animals have just skin and others have scales. Some of our children made a fish with special scales. Are you ready to watch them?
They are all beautiful and so original!!
